a wonderful thing to believe
Every UFO story ends with a sigh. A shrug. Disappointment. The beginnings are all wonder and mystery. The middles often beguiling, intriguing, surreal, nonsensical, sometimes farcical. But the endings always leave us dismayed. A series of strange sights and sounds and sensations, amounting to nothing— no answers, no revelation, no resolution. Just the slippery impression of something stranger and grander than our ordinary lives.
Issue 8 explores the strange, fake, true, fantastical UFO phenomenon in the American imagination.
